The course

A LOOP OF 45 KILOMETRES

The bike course runs largely along the Betuwe dikes. The 45 km loop gives supporters more chances to cheer and has little traffic: the dike and a few other roads are closed to motor vehicles, except for residents. Normal traffic rules still apply. Four times round for the full distance.

The setting

THIS IS WHAT THE LOOP LOOKS LIKE

The loop runs along the Betuwe dikes: views over the polder, long avenues between the poplars and the water never far away.
