WHAT YOU'LL BE CHECKED ON

Four things determine whether you start safely and within the rules. Check them beforehand. They're inspected at the equipment check and in the transition area.

WETSUIT

WETSUIT

Wetsuit use follows NTB rules. If the water temperature is above 24.5 °C, a wetsuit is not permitted. Measured on Friday, and on Saturday morning too if it's borderline; the decision is then made by 05:30 on race day at the latest.

HELMET

HELMET

An approved cycling helmet is compulsory and must be fastened on your head before you touch your bike in the transition area. Riding without a fastened helmet means disqualification.

RACE NUMBER

RACE NUMBER

Your race number must be visible on the bike (back) and on the run (front). Use a race number belt or pin it to your top.

BIKE

BIKE

All road and triathlon bikes are permitted, as long as they're in safe condition. Check your brakes, tyres and handlebars, and go over everything one more time!

EQUIPMENT CHECK

At check-in we inspect your race number, helmet and the safe condition of your bike. Arrive on time and you'll avoid stress just before the start.

CHECK YOUR GEAR.

Good equipment, properly checked: then you can focus entirely on the race. Put your name on the start list.
