This is what participants of previous editions say.
"This was my first time taking part in the Gelreman (the half). Your organisation and the course were genuinely superb. And what a beautiful bike route. I thoroughly enjoyed the day. A big compliment to all those volunteers who were there for every participant with a broad smile, calm and good humour."
"My husband stood on the start line with a clear goal: sub 10. And he made it! I made my own triathlon debut: my first goal was to finish and perhaps a sub 6, and that worked out too. We thoroughly enjoyed the atmosphere, the organisation and the way the values of this triathlon were visible throughout the day."
"Rarely have I taken part in such a fantastic race as last Saturday. And given my age, I can assure you there have been a great many. The pre-race information was very thorough, the swim course beautifully clear with lovely water, and the run course and drink stations were superb. In short: a wonderful race, and next year I'll be back!"
The kilometres are yours alone. What happens past the line, you share with everyone who stood there waiting for you.

1 swim lap · 2 bike laps · 3 run laps · Start 09:45 · Cut-off 18:00
56 KM
Our focus has always been the full distance, but not everyone has the time to train for it, or you want to start with something shorter. And then the half in 2028?
1 swim lap · 1 bike lap · 1.5 run laps · Start 09:00 · Cut-off 13:00
Until 15 October you can only register with a volunteer who is available on race day: the lowest rate of the year, plus finisher socks at the finish. After that, registration is open to everyone.
All amounts exclude administration fees and the NTB licence. You can add a day licence while registering (€17.50 to €68.50, depending on your distance); an annual licence you arrange directly with the Dutch triathlon federation at triathlonbond.nl.

Last year 250 volunteers kept 1,000 participants going: in the kayak beside the swimmers, at the junction, at the aid station and under the finish arch.
From kayaking to aid station, from officiating to traffic marshalling. You choose, and combining is fine.
Shifts run from the swim start at first light to the very last finisher. You tell us when you're available.
You get the Gelreman volunteer shirt and all-day access to the site and its facilities.
