LICENCE
You need a race licence to take part in the Gelreman. If you already have one, there is nothing extra to pay. If you don't, you buy a day licence when you register.
NTB membership runs per calendar year. Would you like to join and already benefit from it at the Gelreman 2027? Then state when registering that you are a member and sign up with the NTB from 1 January 2027. You can add your licence number afterwards via your dashboard.
WHY A LICENCE?
Required for every distance
Among other things, your licence tells us that you are insured. You get a licence with a membership of the Dutch triathlon federation (NTB).
WHICH LICENCES ARE VALID?
Licences we accept
You may also hold a licence from another federation:
- NTB licence: valid for all distances
- Foreign triathlon licence: valid for all distances
- KNWU (cycling), athletics or KNZB (swimming) licence: only valid up to and including the Quarter Distance
If you hold one of these licences and meet the conditions above, you do not need a day licence. There is nothing extra to pay: you enter your licence number when you register, and you bring your licence to the race.

Day licence when you register
If you do not have a licence, you buy a day licence while registering. We arrange everything else with the NTB behind the scenes.

JOINING THE NTB
Day licence or membership
You can join the NTB at any time at triathlonbond.nl. The longer the distance and the more races you do, the more worthwhile NTB membership becomes compared to buying separate day licences.
